About this site

Written by someone who does their own books, not a finance desk.

Margin Report Daily is written for people whose income doesn't come from a single steady paycheck: freelancers, side hustlers, and small business owners who handle their own budgeting, pricing, and tax prep — often at the kitchen table, after the "real" workday is done.

This site is run by an entrepreneur who currently owns and operates two small businesses, handling everything from product pricing to vendor costs to the reality of income that changes month to month. The guides here come from that lived experience combined with careful research, not a finance credential we don't have.

Why this site exists

Most personal finance advice online assumes a W-2 job, a predictable paycheck, and an employer handling half the complexity for you. That advice doesn't map cleanly onto running a business or juggling a side hustle, where the same dollar has to cover business costs, taxes, and personal life — and where income can double one month and disappear the next.

Every guide on this site is written specifically for that reality, and updated when the underlying facts change — tax rules, interest rates, and trade policy don't stay still for long.

Financial disclaimer

Margin Report Daily provides general educational information only. Nothing on this site constitutes personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. The author is not a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or attorney.

Every business and financial situation is different. Before making a financial decision — taking on debt, changing your pricing, restructuring your business, or adjusting your tax filing — consult a qualified professional (a CPA, financial advisor, or attorney) who can review your specific circumstances.

Some articles on this site contain affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one, this site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects the guidance given — recommendations reflect genuine research, not the highest-paying affiliate offer.

Information is reviewed periodically, but financial regulations, interest rates, and tax law change frequently. Always verify current figures against an official source (IRS.gov, your lender, or a licensed professional) before acting.

Corrections and questions

If you spot an error or outdated figure in any guide, it's genuinely useful to hear about it — financial content is only as good as its accuracy. Corrections are reviewed and updated promptly.
